Politico: US will not supply long-range missiles to Ukraine - UK will do it

The United States refused to supply long-range missiles to Ukraine.

Politico reports that the US has decided not to supply long-range missiles to Ukraine, as the UK will provide similar missiles instead. According to sources of the publication, in London, discussions are underway on the transfer to Kyiv of missiles with a range of destruction from 100 to 300 km, comparable in performance to the American ATACMS.

One of Politico's sources confirmed that the US policy regarding the supply of ATACMS to Ukraine remains unchanged. Instead, the United States will continue to supply Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems, ammunition, and armored vehicles.

As for the possible delivery of long-range missiles from the UK, at the moment it is known that London is considering sending a small batch of AGM-84 Harpoon cruise missiles to Ukraine, with a range of up to 160 kilometers, as well as sending Storm Shadow tactical cruise missiles, the range of which can reach 500 kilometers (according to other sources - 350 kilometers).

The supply of such weapons raises very serious concerns for Russia, since in such a situation the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have the opportunity to strike deep in the rear.
